NEW PROTOCOLS FOR SERVICES AT HOOPLA
Please book all appointments online through our website, www.hooplastudio.com. At this time, we will not be accepting walk-in appointments. If you need to cancel or change an appointment, you may do so through our website or by calling the Studios.. Please note that we may not return your call immediately, your patience is appreciated.
Please note that all appointment times have been extended to allow for adequate cleaning time between appointments. We ask that as soon as your service is completed and you check out that you leave the premises.
BEFORE YOUR SERVICE
Please wear a MASK or face covering when entering HOOPLA. Our entire team will be wearing masks and optional face shields during your services. We ask that you keep your mask on as well until you leave the premises. We will also have plexiglass between you and reception.
When you arrive, please check in with the receptionist. If another customer is at the reception desk, please make sure to distance yourself at least 6 feet away or wait outside the Studio until the receptionist is free. When you see the receptionist, please provide her with your current email and mobile phone number.
If your technician is not immediately available for your appointment, we will ask that you either wait outside of the Studio or in your car. We will call you when your appointment is ready.
During this time, it is appreciated that all children, family members or friends without appointments for themselves remain at home or elsewhere. This will help reduce the number of touch points in the Studios and will help with social distancing.
We have removed all magazines, pillows and beverages from the Studios. We ask that all customers refrain from bringing in food and/or drinks to the Studios. We have also removed half of the manicure and pedicure stations to space apart customers. Please do not move your chairs closer to another customer. Please also note that during this time, our restroom will be closed to customers at our Fairway Shops Studio. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
When choosing your mini-polish color, you will view the polishes displayed on the wall in the reception area. We ask that you do not touch the polish, but rather tell your technician the name of the polish. Your technician will have access to polishes that only she will touch.
Once you are called for your appointment, we will ask that all customers clean their hands. Remember, lather for at least 20 seconds. Hand washing is the best defense against this virus. Our technicians will likewise wash their hands before calling you for your service.
AFTER YOUR SERVICE
We will continue to offer our polishes and treatments for sale, along with Image Skincare products. We ask that you do not touch the products while deciding which to purchase and touch only those you desire to purchase if at all possible. If you know what you would like to purchase, we are happy to get it for you, wipe it down and put it in a bag for you.
While we will accept cash or checks for your service, we encourage all customers to pay with credit cards. Better yet, put a credit card number on file (we will not have access to the complete number at any time). If you do not want to put your credit card on file, the receptionist may ask that you read your number aloud. We will not be asking for customer signatures, or providing paper receipts. If you would like a receipt, one can be emailed to you.
WHAT WE DO TO PROTECT US ALL
Before every booked appointment, we will contact every customer and ask them if they, or anyone in their household, have a cold or flu-like symptoms if so, we will reschedule the appointment. Likewise, if any staff member has a cold or flu-like symptoms they will be kept home from work.
Touch points (door handles, seats, tables, etc.) will be disinfected with EPA approved disinfectant through out the day. As is customary at HOOPLA implements used will be stainless steel and sterilized via autoclave. Those that are not stainless steel will be single-use-disposable implements.
NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19
Notwithstanding the implementation of state, local and cosmetology guidelines regarding the usage of salon services at HOOPLA®, the reopening of HOOPLA® presents inherent risks related to possible exposure to the COVID-19 Virus that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid such exposure. Because of this, it is important to know that customers who voluntarily choose to engage in permitted services as a result of this reopening are assuming the risk that while engaging in these activities/services and exposure to the Virus might occur.
In addition, consistent with the efforts to reopen HOOPLA® in as safe a manner as possible, we are requiring that persons refrain from entering HOOPLA® who: (i) are suffering from the Virus and for a period of 14 days after recovering from the Virus, (ii) have had exposure to persons infected by the Virus and for a period of 14 days thereafter, (iii) have had exposure to persons who have had close contact with persons infected by the Virus and for a period of 14 days thereafter, (iv) are currently subject to any recommended self-quarantine or isolation for any reason, including recent travel, and/or (v) are currently suffering from symptoms of acute respiratory infection, including cough, fever, sore throat, or shortness of breath.
